Please join us tomorrow all day as we’ll be doing a Hero workout titled “Landan” to honor and celebrate the life of Landan Bland, who went to be with Jesus August 29, 2012. We welcome anyone to attend throughout the day regardless of whether they are CF417 members or not. We’ll be accepting donations to contribute to The Landon Bland Fund which has been set up through Great Southern Bank. Please make all checks out to The Landan Bland Fund. Thanks to the entire local CrossFit community for rallying to help the Bland family and for showering them with your prayers of support! (Thanks to CrossFit Springfield for the write up). “Landan” Hero WOD 6 Rounds for time of: Run 500m 8 Muscle Ups 29 Double Unders 12 Thrusters, 115/85lb “Landan” WOD notes: While attempting to conjure up a workout that would be a fitting tribute to honor Landan, one thought – or rather, one number – kept rising to the forefront of my mind. It was the number SIX representing the six months it’s been since Landan’s condition was diagnosed. So, we will perform a 6 round workout. Landan was 3 years old. So, we’ll be running a cumulative distance of 3000m – 1000m for every year of Landan’s miraculous life. Landan left this life and went on to live a new and better life with the Lord on 8/29/12. So, each round, we’ll be performing 8 muscle ups, 29 Double Unders, and 12 Thrusters. -Jeremy Mhire-

“Our little Angel is flying high with Jesus now. Landan went to be with our Heavenly Father today at approximately 12:40pm. He was surrounded by many close friends and family. Landan will be missed dearly here on Earth but we know we will get to spend eternity with him. Thank you God for Blessing us with such an amazing Miracle!” Note: The CrossFit 1 Year Anniversary Party will be held at the gym since bad weather seems imminent.  Barbecue brisket and pulled pork will be provided along with baked beans.  Feel free to bring another bbq side or a dessert to share and drinks.  Remember: There will be no 5pm or 6pm WOD, but we will have workout activities at the party.  See you at 6pm!
